Congratulations to La Martiniere Girls’ College for being awarded the Martin Memorial Trophy for 2021. The inter-Lucknow Martiniere Debate was held this evening where the Girls’ College proposed the motion ‘Social Media has a negative effect on our mental health’. The College is proud of its boys and appreciates their spirited defence.
Happy to announce that Kinjalk Sharma was awarded the 2nd Best Speaker award at the Neerja Modi Debate conducted on line from Jaipur.
A group of 8 students participated in Samvidhi 3.0 – Legal Conclave organised by Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. Kinjalk Sharma the Founder-President of La Martiniere Law Society led the team. The following boys won awards:
1. Vaibhav Agarwal was awarded the first position in the Legal Quiz.
2. Aryan Choudhary was awarded the first position in the Newsroom Event.
3. Lorik Yadav qualified for the final round and ranked 4th in the Legal Quiz.
4. Ameya Gupta, Devang Pratap Singh and Abir Bajaj qualified for the top 18 teams in the Legal Debate.
This is the first Law related competition attended by La Martiniere College after the subject has been introduced for formal study.
Yashvit Danani of La Martiniere College has been awarded the Bronze Medal for the ‘Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards’.
He represented his organisation ‘Paws and Claws’ which was founded in 2019.
It is an annual nationwide search to identify and recognize school students who have made a positive difference in their communities through volunteer community service. Introduced in India in 2010, this programme is an extension of the ‘Prudential Spirit of Community Awards’, the largest youth recognition programme in the United States, conducted by Prudential Financial, Inc. (PFI), a U.S. based financial services company, for the last 25 years.
Looking forward to Independence Day celebrations in the College tomorrow. The solemn Flag Hoisting attended by the Staff shall honour the Flag. In the evening, at 5.00 pm, the boys, who have worked hard, shall present relevant messages through song, street theatre and poetry. Here is a curtain raiser!
A delegation of 7 boys participated in the seventh edition of the Welham Boys’ Model United Nations. Vinayak Tandon served as the head delegate for the conference. The following boys won awards:
1. Kritin Bhasin representing Vladimir Yefimovich Semichastny, the Minister of Interior (Head of the KGB) in the Soviet Special Advisory Committee won the Outstanding Delegate award.
2. Aryaman Sethi representing the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the United Nations Human Rights Council won the Outstanding Delegate award.
3. Suyash Shukla representing Shri Nitin Gadkari of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Lok Sabha won the Outstanding Delegate award.
4. S. M. Ayaan Rizvi representing the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations General Assembly won the Outstanding Delegate award.
5. Vinayak Tandon representing the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the United Nations Security Council won the Verbal Mention award.
La Martiniere College, Lucknow was awarded the Best Delegation Award.
La Martiniere College, Lucknow, participated in Laissez Faire, a National Business and Economics Event at Vasant Valley School, New Delhi on Friday, 13 August, 2021.
Ranveer Singh Sial secured the ‘First Position’ in the event Psynergy at the National Level.
The Senior Interhouse Debates shall be held on the 15th, 16th and 17th of June. They will be conducted in two sessions per day at 10 am and 12 noon respectively.
