Misconduct

The following may be interpreted as gross misconduct and may result in a boy’s dismissal from the College.

  • Truancy either from Assembly or from class.
  • Habitual late coming.
  • Being incorrectly dressed.
  • Shortage of attendance.
  • Indifference towards studies.
  • Rudeness to ANY member of the College community.
  • Insubordination towards the College authorities.
  • Failure to participate in the co-curricular programme of the College held during School hours (eg. N.C.C., P.T., debates, elocution, dramatics, essay, competitions, quizzes etc.)
  • Driving a motorized vehicle on the College campus.
  • The meeting of friends who are outsiders or even ex-students on the College campus.
  • Smoking or chewing of addictive substances.
  • Spitting or writing on the walls.
  • Acts of violence or abuse.
  • Bullying
  • Sexually inappropriate behaviour
  • Reading or purveying of obscene material.
  • Vandalism or wilful destruction of College property.
  • Bringing or using mobile telephones to the College.
  • Misuse of the internet/ cyber bullying.

 

The College has established mechanisms to deal with reports of bullying and/or sexual harassment on the government/ Court guidelines currently in existence.
