69th Republic Day

Our country celebrated its 69th Republic Day commemorating 69 years of adoption of the Constitution. The Chief Guest for the day was the former Vice-Principal of the College Mr.T.Savaille, accompanied by his wife. The event commenced at 9:00 a.m. following the Chief Guest’s arrival in the ceremonial car. He was escorted by the Principal and the College cavalry to the call of the bugles followed by ‘Swagatam’ played by the College Brass band for the first time on this occasion. The Indian Tri-colour was then unfurled by the Chief Guest to the tune of the National Anthem.  After this the charge was transferred to the College Parade Commander, Priyank Agnihotri who along with the Junior under officers, escorted the Chief Guest while he inspected the Parade. Having inspected the parade, the Chief Guest addressed the school on the importance of Republic Day and its relevance in today’s life. The Principal then shared his moments of nostalgia with the school, having been the Chief Guest’s student in the past. Thereafter the parade, led by the College Parade Commander, marched past the Chief Guest saluting the Indian Tri-colour.
