Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture Ceremony for the session 2018-19 was held on the 8th of March, 2018 at the East Terrace. A special assembly was organized. The ceremony started with a Chapel Service for the ‘Installation of Pupil Authorities.’ The chapel choir sung hymns, and extracts from the Holy Bible were read. These extracts were particularly related to responsibility, leadership and mature behavior. The Principal addressed the new pupil authorities and explained them the importance of the responsibility that was assigned to them. Special emphasis was laid by him on the words of the daily hymn, ‘Courage Brother! Do not stumble!’

The procession was led by the newly appointed College Captain, Vighnesh Mehrotra followed by College Vice Captain, Inzamam-ul-haq Ansari. Siddharth Mishra, Jayam Balani, Sukhdev Kumar and Naman Mishra were appointed as the House Captains of Cornwallis, Hodson, Lyons and Martin House respectively. Shaun Burbage was elected as the Choir Monitor. The authorities took the oath on the East Terrace and pledged to set an example for other students. They were handed over College Ties and badges as a mark of recognition. The College Captain addressed the gathering.

The youngest pupil authority is Saharsh Singh. Anas Khan and Srijan Kumar, Prefects of Hodson and Martin house respectively are the only pupils in class 11 who would be wearing double stripes.

This was followed by tea for parents, teachers and pupil authorities at the Principal’s Lawn.
