Life saving Workshop

A lifesaving workshop was conducted in the Middle School Library on the 21st  of January, 28th January, and 4th February. Doctors from the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (S.G.P.G.I.M.S.) taught the boys how to deal with quandaries or emergency situations such as people losing consciousness or having severe injuries.

The workshop taught the pupils how to do Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.), a life-saving technique used in emergencies such as a cardiac arrest, drowning and heart attack. Practice drills were conducted so the pupils could perfect the method of C.P.R. The pupils were also taught first aid techniques to save themselves and others from snake bites, dog bites, monkey bites, bee stings, drowning and a heat stroke. The workshop enlightened both pupils and teachers with the measures to be taken if a calamity took place.
