133rd Sports Day

La Martiniere College organised its 133rd Annual Sports Meet on Saturday, the 28th. Mr. Rajendra Khanna graced the event. Mr Khanna  is the head of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of India and an alumnus of the college.

The event started with the torch relay ceremony  in  which the captains of the various teams participated. Thereafter, we witnessed different events including the 100m flat race, the 5000m cycle race and the most exciting event of all,  the past vs present race.

After the races, the boys of classes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 put up  a PT display. The boys of class 5 and 6 put up the clapper drill , the boys of classes put up a drill called hand in glove and classes 9 and 11 pu t up the wand drill. It was greatly appreciated by our Cheif Guest.. The PT was followed by an excellent presentation by the Gymnastics team .

It was followed by the brilliant March Past.The Cheif Guest took the salute. The first squad of Martin House won the best marching contingent.

The chief guest gave away the medals and awards to the winners of the day and addressed of the boysour college. This was followed by a vote of thanks by our Principal. The event concluded with the beating of the retreat.

Hodson’s Run

The Junior and the Senior Marathon now known as the Hodson’s Run was held on the 21st November 2015. In the Junior Marathon Azarul-Haq- Ansari of Hodson House stood first which in the senior Marathon, Adrin Atkins of Lyons came first.

English and Hindi Elocution (Prep. Dept.)


The English and Hindi Elocution was held on the 6th and 7th of Nov 2015 respectively.


Results for English Elocution are as follows


The first prize went to Class Nursery E and the second prize was awarded to Class Nursery C

Individual Awards were given to the following students

2nd Prize:  Aryan Shahpuri of Nursery D and Saransh Garg of Nursery D

Lucknow Literature Carnival Photography

A photography competition was organised by the Lucknow Literature Carnival in association with UNICEF at the prestigious M B Club on 19th November 2015 . The theme for the competition was “Lucknow in A Frame”

Naman Agarwal and Abdul Samad of La Martiniere College were Awarded the First Prize.

Mrs Mohsina Mirza of La Martiniere College participated in the Individual Category and secured First Prize for the same

Children’s Day

Children’s Day was celebrated in both the campuses with great zeal. The teachers enthralled the children with their splendid performances in skits, singing and dancing.
In the Senior school, the College Captain Mohd Kamran took over the role of the Principal of the school and led the Assembly in normal routine .
The Principal attired in college khakis followed the routine of the Assembly with the boys and the teachers.
The boys of Class 12 were in a nostalgic mood as this was their last day in their precious Khaki Uniform. They made this moment memorable by taking autographs of their class fellows and teachers on the same.

Holiday Notice

On the instructions of the District Administration, classes for Nursery to Class 8 shall remain closed on the occasion of Vallabhai Patel Jayanti and Acharya Narendra Dev Jayanti.

The Invitational Inter-School Athletics Meet shall continue as proposed, having sought permission for its conduct from the District Administration. This year it shall be dedicated to Vallabhai Patel and Acharya Narendra Dev.

Classes 9 to 12 are invited to attend. All Staff shall attend the programme till its conclusion.
