133rd Sports Day

La Martiniere College organised its 133^rd Annual Sports Meet on Saturday, the 28^th. Mr. Rajendra Khanna graced the event. Mr Khanna  is the head of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of India and an alumnus of the college.

The event started with the torch relay ceremony  in  which the captains of the various teams participated. Thereafter, we witnessed different events including the 100m flat race, the 5000m cycle race and the most exciting event of all,  the past vs present race.

After the races, the boys of classes 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 11 put up  a PT display. The boys of class 5 and 6 put up the clapper drill , the boys of classes put up a drill called hand in glove and classes 9 and 11 pu t up the wand drill. It was greatly appreciated by our Cheif Guest.. The PT was followed by an excellent presentation by the Gymnastics team .

It was followed by the brilliant March Past.The Cheif Guest took the salute. The first squad of Martin House won the best marching contingent.

The chief guest gave away the medals and awards to the winners of the day and addressed of the boysour college. This was followed by a vote of thanks by our Principal. The event concluded with the beating of the retreat.
