Bastille Day

Bastille Day was celebrated on the 14th of July with a special assembly to mark the occasion. Saransh Alexander Kumar led the assembly, as the boys of the French department recited the Lord’s prayer in French. This was followed by the birthday song being sung in French by the middle school choir. The boys of the French department apprised the gathering about the historical aspect of Bastille day, as well as the various political causes associated with it. A succinct mention of French culture followed, which included the staple diet of the population, the various types of French cheese, along with several other features of the civilisation.

The French editorial board for this session was also announced, with Rayvant Tripathi serving as the Editor. The assembly was brought to an end with the singing of the French national anthem by the middle school choir followed by the Indian national anthem.
