The Claude Martin Museum

The Claude Martin Museum now occupies Mahal Serai, the oldest building on the estate. The entire building has been restored to the form in which it was originally built and to which features were subsequently added. The museum itself is broadly divided into 6 galleries.

These are:
1.Permanent exhibition on the Life of Claude Martin.
2.Claude Martin and his interests
3.The Uprising Wall – recording the events of 1857.
4.A model old-fashioned classroom.
5.La Martiniere College Memorabilia Hall.
6.The Painting Gallery.

This is the first attempt to gather all images, artefacts, etc related to Claude Martin. Often there is an overlapping as the academic institution that the Founder established cannot be separated from his own story.

The College realises that this is an ongoing process, where facsimiles and photographs will gradually be replaced by original artefacts and original art.
